We can provide the following for your event…
A professional DJ with combined club, radio & mobile experience of over 40 years, who is able to play almost any decade or genre of popular music from the 1940s to current chart.
Huge music collection (currently around 50,000 songs) played either on a top of the range standalone DJ system with an internal solid state drive, or via a laptop computer connected to one of several professional DJ controllers. Access to online streaming services is built in.
From easy listening and jazz for background music, to the latest dance and club hits, and everything in between. Pop, rock, soul, disco, funk, reggae, hip-hop/rap, R&B………whatever your tastes, there’s something in our collection for you.
Professional Sound Systems
The standard mobile disco sound system is a 1,500 watt four speaker setup, which includes two powered speakers (internal amplifiers) for the low bass frequencies and a further two powered speakers for mid and high frequencies.
Smaller or larger systems are also available (pricing varies accordingly):
A pair of full range powered speaker cabinets is suitable for small parties of under 100 people, but please bear in mind that this will not provide the same quality and depth of sound as the four speaker setup above.
For larger events with more than 200 people attending, we have a six speaker concert level RCF 4PRO system which provides 5,000 watts of nightclub standard audio. Crystal clear, but capable of knocking your socks off!
With any of the above systems, sound quality is always clean and crisp, yet powerful enough to fill even large venues, so that you and your guests can always clearly hear both the music and speech, which is crucial for events such as weddings, where your guests would like to hear every word of those all important speeches!
Both wired and wireless microphones are available.
Professional Standard Lighting
The lighting (provided as standard) can either be very subtle and discreet, suited to formal events such as weddings, with LED uplighting and the classic mirrorball effect, or anything up to the level you would find in a typical nightclub, with moving heads, lasers and haze to emphasise the coloured light beams.
It’s not all hot spotlight boxes, light screens, police beacons and ropelights flashing away any more. Lighting now is far easier on the eye due to the latest LED technology.
Video Projection
We can also provide powerful projected video & graphics on a 4ft or 7ft large screen, for an additional fee. This allows for the display of photos, videos & messages. However, the ability to set up the required equipment is very much dependent on the size and facilities of the venue.
CD and vinyl for the old school vibe too
Provision for CD or vinyl playback is available if required. Denon and Pioneer professional CD players and the famous Technics SL1200 vari-speed turntables can be provided if you’d prefer a more traditional DJ setup for your retro 1970s or 1980s themed party.
Smooth ‘n’ Groovin’ is based in Slough, Berkshire covering a radius of 25 miles as standard.
This includes Windsor, Maidenhead, Burnham, Staines, Cippenham, Langley, Eton, Dorney, Bray, Cookham, Iver etc.
If you are located outside this area, we can still provide you with a mobile disco for your event, but there may be an additional charge calculated from the round trip mileage.
